Getting started
- Create a mode. Choose the apps to block, or the apps to allow while everything else is blocked.
- Start a lock. On the Home tab, start an instant lock to block those apps right away.
- Add schedules. In the Schedule tab, set locks that turn on by themselves, like a Night Lock or Focus Time.
- Exercise to unlock. When you want back in, pick an exercise and do your reps in front of the camera.
Questions
How does ScrollFit block apps?
On iPhone, ScrollFit uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls), so blocked apps stay blocked even when ScrollFit is closed. On Android, ScrollFit uses the accessibility service and usage access to see which app is opening and shows the workout screen instead. It never reads what you do inside other apps.
What's the difference between "Block apps" and "Allow apps"?
With "Block apps", only the apps you pick are blocked. With "Allow apps", only the apps you pick stay open and everything else is blocked.
What's the difference between a break and an unlock?
A break gives you 1 to 30 minutes, then the lock comes back by itself. An unlock ends the current lock until the next scheduled one. Both need a set of reps.
Which exercises can I do?
Push-ups, squats, sit-ups, plank and squat hold. You set the reps or hold time for each one and choose at unlock time.
Can I unlock without exercising?
ScrollFit is built so that the way back into your apps is a set of reps. There's no skip button, so plan ahead, especially before locking apps you might need.
What happens if a schedule crosses midnight?
It just works. A schedule from 11 pm to 7 am keeps your apps locked through the night until 7 am.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before it renews. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
I changed phones. How do I get my purchase back?
Sign in to the same App Store or Google Play account, open ScrollFit and use Restore purchases on the paywall. If you signed in to ScrollFit with Apple or Google, sign in the same way to get your progress back.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Try this |
|---|---|
| Apps aren't blocked | iPhone: check Settings → Screen Time, and that ScrollFit is allowed. Android: make sure ScrollFit's accessibility service and usage access are on, and that battery optimisation doesn't stop ScrollFit. |
| Reps aren't counted | Put the phone where it can see your whole body, in good light. For push-ups, place it on the floor in front of your head. |
| The camera doesn't open | Allow camera access for ScrollFit in your phone's settings. |
| A schedule didn't start | Check that the schedule is on and today is one of its days. |
| The app seems stuck | Close it and open it again. Your locks are kept. |
